In partnership with the British Council, VR Bengaluru proudly hosted Five Films for Freedom – the LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, a global initiative that celebrates powerful LGBTQIA+ stories each year.
The event featured five compelling short films, each exploring themes of identity, love, and resilience. It was followed by an insightful Fireside Chat with Ruchira Das, Director of Arts at the British Council, and Kalki Subramaniam, global transgender activist. The conversation sparked a meaningful dialogue around inclusion, self-expression, and the importance of visibility in today’s cultural landscape.
